Do you find yourself running out of ideas for teaching Asana (postures) in classes? Are you looking up what other teachers are doing when you’d rather be creating your own sequences, tapping your inner creativity?
In this short workshop we’ll look at how we can work with the models of Asana sequencing given by Krishnamacharya to create sequences that are safe, interesting and beneficial to our students. We will take a look at how we can change sequences using particular rhythms of breath and movement, and how to deepen Asana practice by bringing a meditative quality to your classes. With a perfect blend of practice and theory, we’ll help you access your inner teacher and keep bringing that out in creative practices.
Although aimed at Yoga Teachers, this workshop is also accessible to Yoga Teacher Trainees, aspiring Yoga Teachers and interested practitioners of any level. Practices will be simple and aimed at applying the ideas used in the presented models, so there’s no need to worry about pretzel poses or gymnastics.
