Trikaya Yoga was founded by Kelly Davies and Scott Rennie in Melbourne at the start of 2015.
The Trikaya approach to teaching grew out of a solid foundation of training in the Yoga teachings of Sri T Krishnamacharya. Our teachers have a wonderful array of individual influences and inspirations through their decades of practice and study, yet their different paths have led us to the same summit, which is their shared approach to Yoga.
Our current base for Yoga and Meditation classes, private sessions, workshops and teacher training courses is our home studio in the Brighton East area of Melbourne, Victoria. We also do a weekly group Yoga class at of Studio 202 in Balaclava (see Contact page for full addresses). From these two urban sanctuaries we hope to serve the needs of the local communities of Brighton, Bentley, Hampton, Balaclava, Caulfield, Malvern, Elsternwick, Ripponlea, Elwood, St Kilda, Glen Huntly and Carnegie.
We can also travel to students’ houses for Yoga Therapy sessions where appropriate, and to other Yoga studios for classes and workshops when invited. We host retreats and other events internationally throughout the year.
We are also really excited to be exploring the ways that modern technology and the Internet will allow us to meet the needs of International students and teachers who cannot attend our trainings in person. We are already using Skype and FaceTime to meet existing one-to-one students, and are currently exploring the technology, delivery platforms and teaching methodologies that will allow us to create quality online courses including full teacher training.
