Group Classes

Group classes are an amazing way to find inspiration and community. The energy and reconnection we can find in group classes can help us to sustain our practices of yoga and meditation when the going gets tough.

Our group Yoga and Meditation classes, held in our beautiful home studio in Brighton East, Melbourne, are suited to most people whose physical health and wellbeing allows them to carry out an ordinary range of movement without undue stress or strain. We have no interest in pushing people into pretzel poses or making you sweat until you almost drop. Our experience is that such extreme physical practices, and the harsh mental attitudes they encourage, often lead us away from the self-acceptance that is at the core of an evolved yoga practice. All that we need is a commitment to regular practice in a way that gently challenges our existing habits, and we will soon find positive changes arising from our efforts.

Yoga for Wellbeing

Yoga for Wellbeing classes focus on moving and stretching your body and connecting with your breath. We will begin with posture work (asana) to build and maintain strength and flexibility, followed by breath work (pranayama) to rejuvenate and relax.

You’ll find these classes easy to access, no matter what your fitness level and previous experience of Yoga. With adjustments and adaptations to suit your body’s needs, you’ll find something for everybody in these classes, from the total beginner to advanced practitioners.

Through challenge without strain, this class will help you to drop into the deeper layers of your body and experience the part of you that is always steady and calm.

Booking for Class

All Trikaya Yoga classes must be booked in advance. To book your first class, please send us an email to check availability, and you can come along and enjoy that first class for $20. Please do not turn up to class unless you have received confirmation that you have a space (or have an ongoing block booking). If you leave your booking request to the last moment we may not see your booking in time to respond, so it is best to book as early as possible. All booked classes must be paid for in full.

Classes at our Trikaya Yoga studio in Brighton East have only six mat spaces, offering close attention and good community. For these classes you can only continue to attend by block booking for the remainder of the term (see dates and prices below).

No refunds are offered for missed classes on block bookings. You may be able to attend another class that week subject to mat availability but you will need to check specific availability with us first.

Private Sessions

Also known as Yoga Therapy, private classes are for anyone who feels that injuries, illnesses or other personal circumstances would prevent them from fully participating in a group class, or if you’d simply prefer to learn without a group. Please check out our information on Yoga Therapy Sessions to see if these would better suit your needs. We believe that Yoga should be accessible to everyone, so we will do our best to help you access the right practices for your needs.
