Calling all Yoga teachers!
Have you ever wanted to feel confident in adapting and modifying Yoga practices to meet the individual needs of your students? If you can’t, then students may end up getting nothing out of the practices you offer, or even injuring themselves. Many modern teacher training courses present a “one-size-fits-all” style or set of sequences that can leave you high and dry as a teacher when you realise it isn’t true.
Individualising Yoga practice was the underlying foundation of the approach of Krishnamacharya, the father of modern Yoga and teacher of great teachers such as Pattabhi-Jois, BKS Iyengar, Indra Devi and TKV Desikachar. Yet his approach to Yoga went much further than simple adjustments in postures, presenting models for Yoga that will take your practice to a much deeper level and completely transform your teaching skills.
Yoga Journey is a 150-hour postgrad teacher training course that is specifically designed to help existing teachers get to know Krishnamacharya’s approach from the inside out. It’s not a “conversion course”–your skills and understanding of Yoga are perfectly valid and we’ll build on those foundations and your uniqueness as a competent Yoga teacher throughout this course. It’s simply a comprehensive perspective on Yoga that will open out your insights and broaden your potential client base.
This course will be registered with Yoga Australia and begins on Saturday 4th July 2015. Our venue is Caulfield School of Yoga in North Caulfield, Melbourne. You can find full details of this course on our Yoga Journey page.
We are accepting applications now so if you’re interested, please get in touch and we’ll send you a course prospectus.
